Come out to VeloCity’s Spring 2013 Campus Kick Off!

Interested in Startups? Have an idea? Want a chance to win a Raspberry Pi®? If you answered yes to any of those 3 questions then you should participate in VeloCity’s Campus Kick off event! Everyone is welcome to join us!

VeloCity will be kicking off the spring Campus Program over lunch this Wednesday May 22. The event will feature a free lunch, an introduction to VeloCity by director Mike Kirkup and a keynote by Matthew Bailey and Aaron Grant, two of the Thalmic Lab co-founders.

Matthew and Aaron will share how Thalmic Labs has become “one of the 7 Canadian tech startup’s to watch” according to the Financial Post as well as elaborate on the early success of their signature product, the MYO – a gesture control armband.

We’ll also be giving away Raspberry Pi’s to two lucky participants who tweet at us @uwVeloCity using the official event hash tag #velocitykickoff.

If you’re interested in meeting other uWaterloo students who might share a similar interest in technology and business you can take advantage of an opportunity available exclusively to uWaterloo students! Our Campus Social will occur the same night in EV3 4412. Come out for the opportunity to network and share ideas with other entrepreneurially minded uWaterloo students – and get free pizza!

Interested in attending the Campus Kickoff and/or the VeloCity Social? Click here to register! Would like to be there, but can’t attend? You can follow along online through twitter, or watch the livestream starting at 12:30!

Throughout the term Campus events will continue to occur on Wednesday nights in EV3.
