Velocity Science Programming Begins

As the term starts to pick up and the University starts to get busy, so does Velocity programming on campus. Beginning on Tuesday, September 23, the Velocity Science program will be starting their on campus workshops for the Fall 2014 term. The Velocity Science sessions are aimed to facilitate entrepreneurship amongst students who are studying biology, chemistry, physics, and earth & environmental sciences. The workshops are designed to create an environment where science students can rework traditional ideas of science and revision them towards innovative and entrepreneurial applications. Velocity Science holds two workshops on campus, Velocity Science Talks and Velocity Science Brainstorming.

Velocity Science Talks are sessions where varying speakers come in and give presentations on science and its relation with entrepreneurship. Where as Velocity Science Brainstorming workshops are focused on providing students with the opportunity to foster skills in critical thinking, brainstorming, idea generation, problem solving, pitching, and all things related to being an entrepreneur. Both sessions give students the chance to interact with experienced entrepreneurs, grab a bite to eat and widen their network. Velocity Science offers a workshop every two weeks until November 18.
