Students everywhere are always looking for ways of making money, raising money and ultimately funding their most recent entrepreneurial ventures. How great would it be to have someone believe in your idea so much that they are willing to cut you a cheque to help grow your business? Talk to any of the students in VeloCity and the number one concern is: how do I raise capital, or how do I sell my dream? These are very important questions to all entrepreneurs alike. Marc did a great job of highlighting the best places for students in VeloCity to begin funding their current entrepreneurial ventures.
Here are a couple of websites provided by Marc to help with your hunt for money:
Small Business Internship Program http://www.ic.gc.ca/sbip The Co-operative Education Tax Credit (CETC) http://www.rev.gov.on.ca/en/credit/cetc/ NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards Program http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/Students-Etudiants/UG-PC/USRA-BRPC_eng.asp The information provided created an overwhelming response from the students of VeloCity. Some may argue that maybe it was something in the food, but I think it was the topic of choice that caused such an excitement!

VeloCity will be hosting our next event tonight! Be sure to stop by the residence to join VeloCity alumnus Ted Livingston and his company Kik Interactive for a brief information session followed by a night out on the town. The event begins at 5:00pm. Food and beverages will be provided at Philthy’s after the information session!
